Hearty Banana Bread Oatmeal
Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 banana
- 2 dates
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon walnut pieces
Instructions
- To make the oatmeal: Cut the banana into bite-sized pieces. Tear the dates into small pieces.
- Combine the oats, banana, dates, cinnamon and water in a small pot.
- Cover and simmer 3-4 minutes, till oats are creamy.
- Top with walnuts and serve.
- Yield: 1 serving, about 2 cups
