Born and raised in Kentucky, Chef Katie has been a resident of Chicago, Illinois for over 18 years. She is a personal chef and the owner of Chef Katie Simmons. For over 7 years, she has provided healthy, plant-forward meals to busy families in the Chicago region.
She has managed her blog for over 15 years. It began as a way to stay in touch with family during international travels. Then, it shifted to a place to share her recipes and food inspirations. Today, Plants-Rule is a place where Katie shares her healthy, plant-based recipes, tips, and motivation for a healthy life.
